Libyan author Najwa Binshatwan wins the Banipal Visiting Writer Fellowship

Libyan academic and novelist Najwa Binshatwan was born in 1970 in Ijdabla, Libya. Publishing her first poetry collection in 2002, she has since gone on to write three novels: "The Horses' Hair" (2007), "Orange Content" (2008), and "The Slave Pens" (2015), which was shortlisted for the 2017 IPAF prize.
